Sari De Leon-Reist
Sari De Leon-Reist performs regularly with some of Nashville’s finest musicians and ensembles on stage and in the recording studio. She plays with the Nashville Opera Orchestra, and is a regular substitute for the Nashville Symphony. Sari was a soloist with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra and the Nexus Chamber Orchestra. In the popular realm, she can be heard on the recordings of Lady Antebellum, Kings of Leon, Faith Hill, Ben Folds, Train, Carrie Underwood, and countless others.
Sari received her Bachelors of Music degree in cello performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Irene Sharp. Later, she received her Suzuki Certification through an intensive two year pedagogy program at School for Strings in New York City, where she later joined the faculty. She was also formerly on the faculty of Mannes College of Music and The Childrens’ Orchestra Society of New York, as well as the Governors School of the Arts in TN and Lipscomb University. Sari currently teaches at Blair School of Music.
