Lucas’s Garden by Amanda Harberg was recorded live on May 15, 2021, at Eastwood Church in Nashville, TN. The performers were clarinetist Emily Bowland, violinist Louise Morrison, cellist Sari Reist and pianist Megan Gale.

This three-movement work explores the inner world of Harberg’s family as it grows and evolves, told through the lens of her son’s garden. Originally commissioned in 2018 by the Vandoren Company for their Emerging Artists Competition, the piece was later revised in 2021. Amanda Harberg is a sought-after composer and pianist, serving on the faculty at Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts and Interlochen Arts Camp.
